Make a Little Mess Sundae

Makes one 3-scoop sundae

 

3 large scoops of your favorite ice cream

2 large squares of birthday cake

¼ cup hearty mixins - sprinkles- cereal, fruit, chips, etc

¼ cup sauce - caramel, hot fudge, jam, etc



Scoop your ice cream straight onto a clean cutting board, one scoop right next to the other.


Top your ice cream with cake squares, sprinkles, and sauce if you’re using it - and working quickly, use your spatulas to chop everything together, making sure to distribute everything evenly. 


Scoop your sundae into a bowl and garnish with extra as you wish! Only rule, make a Little Mess!!



Bake Club Bday Cake

Makes one 9x13” pan


1 stick butter, room temperature 

½ cup shortening

2 cups sugar

⅓ cup light brown sugar

5 eggs

½ cup oil

¾ cup milk

1 Tablespoon vinegar

3 teaspoons vanilla extract, clear if you’ve got it!

3 ½ cups flour

2 ½ teaspoons baking powder

1 ¼ teaspoon salt

1 cup sprinkles + ¼ cup sprinkles


Heat the oven to 350°f.


Mix butter, shortening and sugars together until smooth. Add eggs and whisk until well combined. Whisk in oil until homogenous and glossy. Whisk in milk, vinegar and vanilla. 

Whisk in flour, baking powder, salt until just combined. Whisk in sprinkles.


Grease a 9x13” pan and line the bottom with parchment or a light desalting of flour. Spread the cake batter in an even layer over the surface of the pan. Sprinkle the top of the cake batter with ⅓ cup sprinkles. Bake cake 30-35 minutes until golden brown on the dates and the cake toothpicks clean at the center. Cool slightly before carving 2 squares out and using in your make a little mess sundae.
