Voter Education

Published August 25 2023

As a part of our commitment to voter education both internally among our team and externally among our community, below is a communication sent company wide to Milk Bar team members as we approach the 2020 Presidential Election.

Hi Team!

We wanted to share a friendly reminder that the deadlines for voter registration are coming up! Below you will find information on key dates and deadlines in order to vote in the 2020 election. We have also introduced Voting Leave where any employee of Milk Bar can take up to an additional 8 hours of PTO to vote, register to vote, canvass or volunteer in a campaign.

Conditional voter registration is a safety net for Californians who miss the deadline to register to vote or update their voter registration information. Voters can use the conditional voter registration process from the day after the deadline all the way through Election Day. Eligible citizens can go to their county election office, polling place, or vote center to register and vote conditionally. These ballots will be processed once the county elections office has completed the voter registration verification process.

Also, if you have not completed the 2020 census yet, please do so! The census not only determines congressional representation but more importantly it is used to allocate billions of dollars of funding to communities over the next decade.
